Give every music release a plan you can follow.

AirTrax helps independent artists organize music release campaigns with tasks, deadlines, linked contacts, and assets. Use it to coordinate the work around a single, EP, or album, while your distributor handles delivery to streaming services.

What should a release plan include?

  • The release date and the distributor’s delivery deadline.
  • Approved audio, artwork, credits, and listening links.
  • A campaign checklist covering outreach, content, release day, and follow-up.
  • The contacts and asset links needed to complete each stage.
  • A review after release that records results and changes for next time.

Plan backwards from the delivery deadline

Create a campaign for the release. Add your distributor’s confirmed deadline first, then work backwards through mastering, artwork approval, and metadata checks. Use calendar entries for milestones and campaign tasks for the work needed to reach them.

Keep one approved file version for delivery. When a deadline moves, review dependent tasks instead of silently carrying the old schedule forward. A plan is useful because it makes tradeoffs visible before release day.

Start with a single before planning an album

Use the downloadable checklist as a working example, then remove irrelevant tasks and add the deadlines your collaborators have agreed to. Once the single is complete, save what worked in your notes and reuse the sequence for the next project.

Is AirTrax a music distributor?

No. AirTrax organizes release work. You need a separate distributor to deliver recordings to streaming services.

Can I plan an EP or album?

Yes. Create a campaign for the project and name tasks and assets clearly for each track. Review the delivery requirements for the full release with your distributor.
